Post-exam movies.

As usual, post-exams are really boring, if you don’t have a lot of activities to do or you’re anti-social. I was seriously bored, as mentioned on my previous post, but luckily with the power of Internet download, I downloaded two movies, DeathRace and Mukhsin. Yeah, one is English and one is Malay.

DeathRace was fun. One hell of a movie. I love story line and the characters really, especially Frankenstein and his hot co-driver. Machine Gun Joe isn’t half bad really. I don’t want to spoil you guys, so I’ll just stop here. Even though the ratings is quite above my age, I don’t mind. Another thing, the ironic thing about DeathRace was how can they go that fast with like a few tons of metal covering them and the amount of weapons. Just that ironic. Still, I totally recommend this movie to you guys. Something different and better ,to be honest, than those flashy car movies.

You want a monster, well, you got one. – ‘Frankenstein’

Mukhsin was something I didn’t expect to watch but after watching one half of the show in school, I wanted to watch the whole thing. I watch movies containing killings, love, documentaries and those directed by the controversial Yasmin Ahmad. People say she’s a transvestite. Anyway, I love her movies. The first which I saw was Sepet, then Gubra and now is Mukhsin. Nice stories really. All are inter-link. So this story is about a girl, Orked which is kind of a tomboy and her family is one unique family. Her mother studied in England and talked English nearly the whole movie. Her father is laid back. If I were to state a scene, I would totally spoil it, so you better just watch it first-hand. Then came this boy, Mukhsin, who was from a very bad family. Then they two met during a game. Then the relationship happen. Anyway not to spoil you, even if this movie is a year-old, I’ll just qoute a poem which she shared to her teacher. It sounds so much better in Malay. :D

Saat yang aku dengar cerita cinta aku. Aku mula lihat pada kau. Tidak tahu ia begitu membutakan. Kau dan aku tak pernah bertemu. Tapi macam lama kami berkenal.

The minute I hear my first love story. I started looking for you, not knowing how blind that was. Lovers don’t finally meet somewhere, they knew each other all along.
